The Department of Bioengineering at Rice University, located in Houston, TX, seeks applications for a faculty position with a start date of July, 2012. Rice offers an outstanding environment for research at the interface of bioengineering, medicine and biology with strong collaborations with the adjacent Texas Medical Center. The department invites candidates in all areas of bioengineering research, particularly in cellular biomechanics, tissue engineering, neuroengineering, and nano-bioengineering. Candidates will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and to establish a strong bioengineering research program. Candidates at the full professor level are preferred, although outstanding candidates at all levels will be considered. All candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in bioengineering or a related field, conferred by November 1, 2012.
